The powerhouse behind Maha's Tasty Treats - Women's Day 2021

I am Mahalakshmi Senthilkumar, from Madurai, well known as temple city in Tamilnadu.Mother of two kids and proud home maker and previously I was running tours and travels business at Madurai. I came to Helsingborg first time by January 2015 and lived here for 11 months to accompany with my husband. Then we moved our residence to Helsingborg and living here since from April 2017.

Food Philanthrophy

Before taking this catering business as full time, I have participated in multiple food festivals in Helsingborg and Malmo with many other wonderful home kitchen chefs. Also I was pleased and self motivated by donating food on many occasions like ISKCON CAR festival in Malmo and multiple churches and care homes around Helsingborg. I believe Culinary skills are God’s gift to feed quality food to our loved ones and customers and we eat at home what we serve to our customers. 

About Maha's Tasty Treats

I have started my home cooking catering business named “Maha’s Tasty Treats” to cater authentic South Indian dishes using hand picked quality ingredients and also deliver the food for our customers to taste at the comfort from home. 

Challenges

Key challenge for me to satisfy various customers taste buds with fluctuations in low/medium/high spicy requirements and till now I am able to exceed the expectations of all my customers and hope to keep it up.Also balancing work and personal life in this catering business with two kids is another big challenge on daily basis as a single chef and so far I am successfully tackling it and will continue to serve the best food to my customers.

Environment Factors

Sweden is encouraging all entrepreneurs in any form which is huge plus for me to start filing the application for catering business license and it was smooth process and got my permit without much struggle.
